"Ten years ago, I was 50 lbs overweight, low energy and felt exhausted even after eight hours of sleep. I struggled to perform any type of physical activity. While on my honeymoon, a photo was taken of me standing next to my new husband which opened my eyes to how out of shape I had become. I was sick and tired of feeling sick and tired and vowed to do something about it. I had tried fad diets in the past and I was never able to stick with it due to their restrictiveness. I decided that I needed to find a way to lose weight that was sustainable and would fit into my lifestyle. Through listening to my body and eating healthy foods, I was able to lose the weight and keep it off. While losing the weight, I discovered an unanticipated side effect of healthy eating. I had more energy and felt better than I had since I was a kid! Where once I couldn’t run a mile, I ran a half marathon. Where once I was barely able to ride my bike a few blocks from my house, I was cycling 50 miles just for fun. No longer was I sitting on the couch watching the world go by, I was an active participant. This new lease on life is what sparked my passion for helping others to live up to their full potential with healthy eating and exercise. I decided to apply for to the dietetics program at Eastern Michigan University to become a Registered Dietitian so that I could obtain the knowledge to effectively help others to change their lives. I completed the program, with honors in 2014. I am also in the process of obtaining my Personal Training certification through the American Council on Exercise to be able to combine my knowledge of nutrition with my passion for fitness to be able to provide a whole wellness experience for my clients."

What to expect during your nutrition coaching sessions
Becky believes that just as one size usually does not fit all, neither does one type of diet or exercise plan. Her nutrition coaching style focuses on the individual and finding methods that will be most beneficial and fit into your lifestyle. Whether your goal is weight loss or just finding ways to eat healthier and feel more energized, we will work as a team to find the right nutrition solution for you. In your initial one hour face to face session, we will discuss your medical and weight history and eating patterns. Using this information, together with Becky you will set goals and make a plan that will help you achieve those goals. You and Becky will discuss any barriers you may face while trying to achieve these goals and discuss ways to work around them.
After your session Becky will check in each week for up to 4 weeks to address concerns, answer questions, and help keep you accountable
