5 Fast foods you should eat
We all run into days where we just don't have time to cook or prepare foods. I truly feel that this is not an excuse to eat unhealthy. Here are five items that I always have on hand that are fast and healthy.
Eggs are fast and easy for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. They don't spoil too fast. They are inexpensive. Always have eggs on hand!
2. SWEET POTATO
Sweet potatoes are so satisfying. I can microwave one in a hot second and add it to a salad or with eggs for breakfast and they are easy to have on hand.
3. RICED CAULIFLOWER AND TONS OF FROZEN VEGETABLES
I try to always have on hand a ton of frozen veggies that I can pair with leftover proteins when I don't have time to cook or cut. This is my new favorite. I have been pairing it with everything!
4. TUNA, SALMON, SARDINES
Canned fish is a fast great source of protein. Sardines are amazing. Low in mercury and inexpensive. I always have these three on hand for fast lunches and dinners.
I love to add olives to a meal for a healthy source of fat. They really help make a salad satisfying or a meal where all I have is veggies and protein feel complete. They store in the fridge forever and are so good for you! Have fun and try new kinds.
