Schedule for REAL Results
This blog series started with the intention of helping you set a better plan for reaching your goals. If you haven't already, I highly recommend going back to read the first three parts of this series. They are short and important to be done in order.
So quick review:
Words: What you say out-loud and in your head affects whether or not you will reach your goals. You must have a can do attitude.
Rituals: You must set up your life so that you don't have to even think about the your workouts or meal prep. It is a Sunday ritual to prep for the week. You always walk for 20 minutes on your lunch break.
Habits: You'll form a habit when you make those rituals happen week after week. You'll form a habit when you talk positively so much to your self that you don't even have to think about it.
Ok so on to SCHEDULES!
What do you want to achieve each week? If it is not written down and the time is not blocked off then you know it won't happen.
I use Google Calendar but maybe you use a paper planner. Pick a calendar.
Say NO to whatever you don't want to do and delete that from your calendar.
Schedule in your 2-3 strength workouts each week. If you find motivation an issue then hire a trainer or sign up for a class. We all have a million things pulling us in every direction. Accountability can be huge!!!
Remember that if you have to move an item on your calendar you can but if you don't block out the time for it you know it will not happen.
Schedule in your meal prep and grocery shopping time.
Again, say NO to whatever you don't want to be doing so that you can achieve the goals that are important to you.
You only get one life. If you are doing a million things each week that you don't want to be doing than you are not living for you. I realize we have kids, families, work obligations. But I bet there are a couple things on your schedule that you can take off without too much harm done and a ton more time for you!
