Why Not To Use BMI

July 22, 2019

Did you know that BMI does not take into account your muscle mass?  It is outdated.  It is probably still used because it is inexpensive and fast.  Muscle ways more than fat so if your are getting stronger than your weight is not a good indicator of your progress.

Measure your circumferences and then compare after a month.  Stop using the scale and stop using BMI.

Ask a trainer or our dietician, Becky if you need help deciding what a good goal and how can you get there.

Remember that 25% of your physique is from your workouts and lifestyle and 75% is from your diet.
